Interaction and User Interface Design

User Centric can assist at any stage of interaction or UI design projects.

We are fortunate to be involved in the product design lifecycle with many of our clients. Clients may come to us for assistance with refinement of an existing product, product definition, a complete product redesign, design exploration for a new mode of interaction, or user interface testing.

Our primary focus is on creating intuitive interfaces that reflect the findings and insights from user research and user interface testing. We want these interfaces or interactions to clearly support users' goals, meet user expectations, and satisfy user needs. Our designs reflect a dedication to users' needs and interface best practices, as well as our clients' primary business or technical considerations.

We have been involved in the design of Web sites, software applications, small screen interfaces, mobile devices, healthcare products, healthcare packaging, IVRs, retail point of sale (POS) terminals, touch-sensitive applications, and more.

Approaches include:

  • Application of task analysis and user analysis
  • Design brainstorming
  • Iterative design (multiple rounds of user feedback and/or testing plus design revisons)
  • Rapid wireframing
  • Prototyping
  • Storyboarding
  • Functional mapping
  • Visual design, including adherence to specific brand guidelines as requested

Deliverables may include:

  • Wireframes
  • Prototype screens (with limited or full visual design)
