Robert Schumacher Highlights Usability Testing, User-Centered Design at ASCO HIT/EHR Symposium

Managing Director Robert Schumacher, Ph.D. was invited to speak about usability testing and user-centered design principles applicable to healthcare systems at the ASCO HIT/EHR Symposium. Schumacher is actively involved in designing and evaluating usability criteria for electronic health records, including the HIMSS Usability Taskforce, as well as other professional societies.  According to the event website, the 2-day symposium will teach attendees to “leverage health information technology to maximize practice efficiency and improve the quality of cancer care.”

The event will be held on November 4 and 5 in Atlanta and registration is required. Schumacher will present “Improving the Usability of EHRs” on November 4. View the full program agenda
