User Centric staff gave four presentations and participated in a workshop at the 2006 Usability Professionals Association Conference. Gavin Lew, Bob Schumacher, Aga Bojko, Heather Olson, and Abby Stephenson all conducted presentations, while Aga also participated in a workshop on eye tracking.
The four presentations explored a variety of topics, including: team and data management in large-scale usability projects, advanced user experience techniques, assessing the impact of global testing, and using eye tracking to evaluate and compare designs. Sessions were highly interactive and provided practical insights based on real consulting experiences and case studies.
The 2006 UPA Conference was held in Broomfield, Colorado from June 12-16. The theme of the conference was "usability through storytelling." At least 600 people from around the world were expected to have attended the conference this year.
The Usability Professionals' Association supports usability specialists, people from all aspects of human-centered design, and the broad family of disciplines that create the user experience in promoting the design and development of usable products. For more information, visit the UPA Web site.
