Bob is a Managing Director at User Centric, Inc. Before joining User Centric, Bob spent many years in the telecom industry in human factors, new product development and project management, ending up as Vice President of Universal Access. Bob’s research interests include user performance in high-volume transaction environments such as call centers, forms, and POS systems. He has strived to bring the subjects of global user experience and global alliances to the forefront of professional discourse; he was one of the driving forces behind the formation of the User Experience Alliance (UXa). Bob speaks frequently on user experience at national and international events, holds several patents, and has written dozens of professional and academic papers. Currently, he is working on a book on global user research.

Gavin is a Managing Director at User Centric, Inc. As one of the company’s founders, Gavin has been instrumental in shaping User Centric as the premier firm in the industry. Gavin’s 15 years of experience in corporate and academic environments has given him a strong foundation in user-centered design and evaluation. In addition to managing the company, he holds particular interest in healthcare, mobile technology, and global research projects. Prior to co-founding User Centric, Gavin was president of an internet start-up, principal at a web development company, a member of Ameritech's Human Factors group, and Director at another user experience research consulting firm. He is a frequent presenter at national conferences and the inventor of several patents.

Dr. David Liebovitz is a practicing internist and the Chief Medical Information Officer for the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, the full-time academic medical practice affiliated with the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. In this role he works to advance development of the outpatient medical records system and optimize information exchange with Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he also serves as Medical Director for Clinical Information Systems. Within the hospital, Dr. Liebovitz is the physician leader for initial implementation and now optimization of CPOE and online documentation. Northwestern Memorial Hospital has successfully adopted online physician entry of orders and notes for all inpatient services and has entered its maintenance phase in which Dr. Liebovitz is now working to complement existing basic decision support with advanced and anticipatory enhancements for high risk areas. Leveraging this experience, Dr. Liebovitz is a program director and course instructor for the Northwestern University Masters in Medical Informatics Program. In addition, Dr. Liebovitz is participating on several funded research projects, works 6 weeks on the inpatient general medical service, sees outpatients in his clinical practice and supervises residents' inpatient and outpatient clinical experiences. Prior to his current 5 years at Northwestern University, Dr. Liebovitz worked as a full-time faculty member at the University of Chicago, received his medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
Wendy is a passionate advocate of leveraging user behavior insights to shape the design of user interfaces. At User Centric, Dr. Yee leads user research and UI design projects for technology, healthcare, and finance organizations and has conducted usability testing on FDA-regulated biomedical devices. Her previous roles as director at Human Factors International and as editor for web-related projects at Science Magazine have provided extensive experience in multiple aspects of user-centered design and research.
Qualifications: Dr. Yee has a SB in Cognitive Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and PhD in Neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Shelley is User Centric, Inc.'s Healthcare Informatics Specialist. Shelley’s expertise lies in the field of Healthcare Informatics with a focus on Electronic Health Records (EHR) for physicians and Personal Health Records (PHR) for consumers and patients to utilize for health improvements and education. She has a special interest in systems that enable patients to feel more empowered and take control of health and prevent chronic disease. Earning a degree in physiology and also a registered nurse, she has a passion for health & wellness and is investigating ways to leverage technology to improve the current health care system and improve the state of health in our country. She has been in the field of nursing and health care informatics for 14 years working for companies such as GE Healthcare IT, CareScience, and HealthString.
